Photos and drawings from London!!!!

Here they are, for all of you who were saying, "Will you just SHUT UP and POST PHOTOS so we don't have to read countless paragraphs about every detail of every moment of every day?!?"

(Hopefully nobody was saying that, but I have been known to ramble, as Marni tells me.)

Anyway, I've got lots of pictures and some drawings too!!!

Plus, here is a link to a song calle "Mountain" by Various Guises, the guitar-and-cello duet I heard in Camden the first night.  (If you like them, check out the Soundcloud page for Blanche Ellis, the lead singer, as well.  She has some good solo stuff.)

Pictures are mostly in order, but there are some extra categories too.

Hello London!

Full size model of the Golden Hinde, in which Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe

Westminster Abbey!

It's so weird to see the old pubs in the middle of the city . . . they look tiny compared to the towers around them!

Walking to Tower Bridge

View of city center from Tower Bridge

At night Tower Bridge lights up!

Okay, I take that back.  St. Paul's does have a pretty awesome interior.

Temple Bar, the old gateway between Fleet Street and the Strand.  It was disassembled in the
1800s due to its blocking traffic flow, and was finally placed in a new location right between
St. Paul's and Paternoster Square.  I walked through it every morning to get to the grocery store!

Albert Memorial (I call it the Albert Shrine.)

Royal Albert Hall

The Underground.  Or call it the tube if you like.  :)

My hostel room .  . . I was bed 5.  Had to perform a 3-step monkey maneuver to get onto my bunk!

Breakfast room in hostel (obviously NOT at mealtime)

Outside of hostel.  It was a cool old building that used to be the boys' choir school for St. Paul's.

 St. Paul's Cathedral
(photographed at pretty much every time of the day & night, from every angle, and in every kind of weather)

Plus one more drawing of St. Paul's, done in 5 minutes before I left on the train to go home

It was quite a lovely time, as you can see.

FINIS.
