Arm seems better today

Hooray!  Praise the Lord . . . my arm is feeling a lot better today.  Not pain-free, but at least I've been able to move it.  Ironically enough, it was keeping it moving all day during printmaking class that prevented it from totally seizing up again.  I think it's a "use it or lose it" in this case . . .

I did try to go to the doctor this afternoon after class, but they're closed Wednesday afternoons.  (Go figure.)  Anyway, if I can get myself out of bed early enough, I might go tomorrow morning before class, just so I can be sent to a chiropractor and get my back adjusted so it won't keep causing me problems.

Printmaking went well today.  Spent all day again on one plate, but the resulting prints were absolutely beautiful!  We have to do a series and I decided to do an aquatint series of the characters from Die Zauberflöte (we know it in English as The Magic Flute), one of Mozart's famous operas.  Yesterday I put on a (very long) YouTube video of a recent Salzburg production of the opera to get a better idea of the story and see how the characters were portrayed.  Marni jokingly accused me of procrastinating, but technically this time I was doing YouTube research . . . Anyway, the series should be a lot of fun.  I like how they're coming out so far.  I've already done a print of the Queen of the Night that came out really nice, and the print I did today was of the three Child-Spirits.  I also have one of a random girl playing the magic flute, but I think I'll do a new one next week of Prince Tamino playing it instead (in the story, he receives the flute as a gift to protect him on his dangerous quest to rescue Princess Pamina).

Sorry . . . classical-music nerd mode strikes again . . .

Dinner was random.  I had canned corn and also hot dogs, both of which I wanted to use up.  So I ate salad (yummy! It had feta cheese, cucumbers, and mushrooms in it) and corn, with slices of hot dog dipped in mustard.  A weird combo, but I'm one of those people who generally eat all of one thing and then move on to the next thing (rather than all you wackos who eat in a circular fashion around your plate and take alternating bites of each food!), so the combo didn't bother me.  I think that qualified as another college-student meal.

Marni came over after dinner and she and Indra hung out in my room.  We worked on our book illustration projects and also gave each other massages, which was nice.

Time to hit the sack if I'm even going to attempt a doctor visit tomorrow morning . . . starting to think it's not worth the hassle . . . I like my sleep better.
