Must. Not. Stress. Out.

Today it's been tough.  But I'm trying to keep my cool.

Not sure if I'm succeeding.

Spent the morning in painting class, working to hang up all our paintings for the exhibition.  It was like a giant jigsaw puzzle assembly. . . harder than I would have thought.  We had to fit everything within the wall space we had, fit all the pictures in with each other, and also make the overall effect aesthetically pleasing.  It took us all of our class time.

One helpful thing (though it's a bummer for him): Our book illustration teacher is out the rest of the week because he has been having severe nerve pain in his arm.  So our final presentations on PDF are not due tomorrow, and we have the whole weekend to email them to him.  That gives me a bit more time to finish up.

Went to the grocery store and then to Staples for a test print of one of my images.  It took way longer than I wanted it to, but at least now I know that Staples won't work.  Too expensive for how crummy the image turned out.

Most recent World Cup news:  Seven of the German players are sick right now and there's no telling how they will be feeling tomorrow for the game against France.  Noooooo!  I finally learned the German fußball chant so I could sing along with everybody at the public viewings!  Come on, guys, you got this!  Deutschland MUST succeed!

Indra has been so nice to me while I'm working on my project.  With how thoughtfully she's treated me, you'd think I was sick or something, not just in finals.  For the most part she's made an effort to leave me alone so she won't distract me, but last night she knocked and peeked in.  "Sorry, I'll be out of your hair in just a minute," she said as she came into my room.  "I just brought this for you."  She set five mini chocolate bars on my desk.

"Awww, you didn't have to do that!" I told her.

"Well," she said, "if you've got to be locked up for so long doing your homework, I figured I could at least throw some chocolate in the cage to help things along."

Indra is amazing.  I'm trying NOT to think about the fact that we are going to be parted in less than four weeks . . . NOOOOOO . . .

  1. Sooooooo.....Indra will just have to come and visit! We have an extra bed :) It's not as fancy as the loft in Holstein, but we are only 1/2 block from the beach!
